Wreaths Across America will be representing by 12 consisting of a number of fleets. They will haul a portion of sponsored veterans’ wreaths from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery.

Wreaths Across America Convoy Kickoff

On Saturday, December 11th, the week-long convoy is going to kick off. It will make dozens of stops along the route.

Traveling down the East Coast, the official escort is going to stop at schools, memorials, and other locations. They are along the way to spread the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach. Then, it will have stops with public events. They will be held in Maine, Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington D.C. It is before arriving at Arlington National Cemetery on the morning of Saturday, December 18th. That is National Wreaths Across America Day.

In fact, the 12 trucks in this convoy representing by Walmart Transportation, Schneider National, Gully Transportation, Witte Bros. Exchange, Hartt Transportation Systems, Delhaize Transportation (DBA Hannaford Supermarkets), and American Trucking Associations. These associations include Share the Road Truck, Pottle’s Transportation, Cargo Transporters, Boyd Grain, Hampton Road Moving & Storage, and Tyson Foods. In addition, Load One Carriers will once again go service as the ceremonial wreath transporter for the escort.

“For those had the opportunity to participate in the escort of wreaths over the years, it is really an experience of a lifetime,” said Karen Worcester, executive director, WAA. “Plus, the way we and the mission are always welcoming into communities, with flags waving and thus streets lining with children and veterans, it is something we always wish every American could, in fact, witness. This year, we are hoping that supporters will, in fact, once again join us in lining the roadways safely and thus welcome the mission into their communities.”

On Saturday, December 18, 2021, the National Wreaths Across America Day ceremonies are happening at more than 2,900 participating locations across the country.
